You may have noticed there will be two river boat tours at United XXV – Rootes To The River – in Alexandria Bay, NY on August 26 to 28.

They are an additional cost over the basic registration price.

I believe the price is worth it! I have taken the tours many times.

We will experience the 1000 Islands aboard Uncle Sam Boat Tours – visit the web site — www.usboattours.com.

On Saturday, August 27th, we will board the boat at 7PM for a 2.5 hour Dinner Cruise. Spend an unforgettable evening on a magnificent triple deck paddle wheel boat. Cocktails, beautiful scenery, live music, salad and bread. Then choose from Prime Rib, Breast of Chicken in mushroom sauce, or a Vegetarian Lasagna with vegetables and potatoes. Not full yet? Cheese cake for dessert! It’s a short walk from the resort or drive your Sunbeam and park free.

The other boat ride is the 2 Castle Tour to Singer and Boldt Castles. The tours depart at 10AM and 2PM daily. This is a 4 hour trip. It’s about 11 miles down river to Singer Castle on Dark Island. At the castle, trained guides will provide a one hour tour. Back up-river, the boat guides will provide a lively narrative to Boldt Castle. Enjoy a self guided tour of Boldt Castle and its grounds on Heart Island. Stay as long as you wish and take any Uncle Sam Boat back to Alexandria Bay (10 minute ride.)

For more information about Boldt Castle, check on line at www.boldtcastle.com and Singer Castle at www.singercastle.com.

Uncle Sam Boat Tours has been operating in the 1000 Islands since 1926. (Judy Sharkey, you CAN do this!) Look at how new and big the boats are.

Don’t forget about the free antique boat rides on Saturday at the Concours D’Elegance and All Rootes Car Show at the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton. (About a 15 minute ride.)

Make your room reservations, and send in your registration form!
