LODGING: The West Port Plaza entertainment complex features the Sheraton West Port Hotel (see brochure info), a lakeside chalet that complements the Swiss atmosphere of the landscaped complex. There are 18 restaurants and several nightclubs located in West Port Plaza and are within walking distance of the host hotel. A block of 60 rooms has been reserved. The quoted price is $89.00 per night. Details of the hotel amenities can be found in the attached brochure. The hotel has reserved hotel side parking for the event. Underground parking is available if the weather turns bad. The hotel has shuttle service to St. Louis International Airport every half hour.

The hotel staff has handled several classic car events in the past, such as the BMW club, MG club, and just this past summer, hosted an Austin Healey national event involving 200 rooms.

LOCATION: West Port Plaza is located west of downtown St. Louis on Interstate 270 between Interstates 70 and 64. There is no city driving required to reach the hotel.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE

Thursday, October 4

Afternoon: For early arrivals, a free tour of the world famous original Anheiser-Busch brewery is planned. The brewery tour has a Clydesdale horse barn and a beautiful renovated brew house that is turn of the century. Free beer at the end.Evening: Informal dinner at one of the 18 West Port restaurants.

Friday, October 5

Morning: Registration in the lobby of the hotel Afternoon: A fun rally through the foot hills of the Ozarks ending a one of Missouri’s best wineries: Mt. Pleasant. Wine tasting and tours are available. This is at the height of the wine country Octoberfest.Evening: Welcome reception in the hopitality suite, 5-7 pm.

Saturday, October 6

Morning: Registration continues in the lobby. Car clean-up and prep for the concours.Concours 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, lakeside at Creve Couer Lake The lake is about 2 mi. from the host hotel.

Afternoon: Tech Session in the Davos Room followed by visit to Big Foot 4×4 headquarters (free).

Bus tour to the Gateway Arch and Missouri Botanical Garden. At the Gateway Arch one can ride to the top and visit the Westward Expansion Museum. The Missouri Botanical Garden is famous for its Climatron and Japanese and English gardens. Evening: Mississippi River Dinner Cruise along the Illinois bluffs for those who want to participate. Additional cost to be determined.

Sunday, October 7

Morning: Annual general membership meeting followed by Tech Session in the Davos Room.Afternoon: Autocross or Options for non-autocrossers Visit to St. Louis Zoo (free) Visit to St. Louis Science Center (free)

Evening TE/AE Banquet and Awards Ceremony The banquet will be at the host hotel. The room features an outdoor patio that overlooks the lake and fountain. A cash bar will be available in the banquet room. There will be two dinner choices.

NOTE: Hospitality suite will be open mornings and evenings . Vendor room available Friday evening through Sunday evening.
