Thursday: Arrival

Register in the afternoon and get an early start on the parts room. The hospitality room will open that evening. Relax and get yourself orientated in the area. And in case your car needs service, there is a Midas shop around the corner. Shopping and dining are both possible within walking distance.

Most likely TAC sessions will be scheduled on Thursday.

Friday: Touring

We will start the tour on some scenic roads with several covered bridges – including the longest covered bridge of the country across the Connecticut River into Vermont. This leads us to the Harpoon Brewery Tap Room & Beer Garden for the included lunch. Located in Artisans Park (https://www.artisanspark.net/) is a collection of eight unique Vermont businesses: the Simon Pearce glass blowing facility and their pottery factory; the Path of Life Sculpture Garden; the Blakehill Preserves Shop; the Silo Distillery; and the Great River Outfitters, you’ll find canoeing, kayaking, rafting and bike rental. (may be an idea for Sunday?).

Friday evening at the hotel meet up with friends old and new for be a welcome reception with a cash bar and free hors d’oeuvres.

Saturday: Concours

MacMalple
Working farm and handcrafted maple products

The concours will be at the Mac’s Maple Farm (https://www.macsmaple.com/) on the Connecticut River, only five miles from the hotel. This is a multi-generational family farm that bottles their own milk under the label McNamara Dairy, produces maple syrup and other maple products as Mac’s Maple. You can wander amongst cars, but also visit the cow barns. A true New Hampshire farm country lunch will be served.

At the hotel there will be a tech session followed by a presentation by the speaker Richard M. Langworth, a well-known author and historian who specializes in automotive history and Winston Churchill. He wrote the book: “Tiger, Alpine, Rapier: Sporting Cars from the Rootes Group.” He used to own several Harringtons and Tigers and still owns a pristine 1950 Packard.

Sunday: Autocross

We piggyback with the SCCNH (https://sccnh.org/) for their weekend long autocross at the track of the Canaan Motor Club (https://bit.ly/433taU5). The track is a 1.3 mile long, technically challenging road course with nine major turns, and extensive run off areas. Details of the autocross schedule will be listed with the full United schedule online. Volunteers to help SCCNH will give our drivers more runs.

Mt Ascutney
American Precision Museum

Take in the American Precision Museum, capturing the history of manufacturing (https://americanprecision.org/) and/or the Mt. Ascutney State Parkway with a 3.7- mile hill-climb to the top and magnificent views (https://bit.ly/3v3dRy7) Admission to both is included.

There are plenty of other attractions in the area: The Enfield Shaker Museum with nine historic buildings and trails on Lake Mascoma. Take in a Sunday open air concert at the St. Gaudens National Site in Cornish, or the Cornish Country Fair. King Arthur Baking Co Café, Bakery & Store in close by in Norwich. The Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park and Farm Museum, the Quechee Gorge with the VINS Nature Center with avian wildlife rehabilitation, and Vermont Toy Museum. Dartmouth College in Hanover with its Hood Museum or the nearby Montshire Museum of Science. There are plenty of trails to stretch your legs nearby.

Awards Banquet

The Awards Banquet at the Fireside Inn will have a cash bar an hour before dinner time. The entrees are a choice of Chicken Cordon Blue or Salmon, and special meals for those with dietary restrictions. The parts room will be open for that last minute purchase, or you can relax at the hospitality room.
