  A friend has a Tiger Tach that has gone fribitz.
  He is looking to a " Thermistor" and supplied me with numbers.
  VA-1040 Mullard , tach? 130R 25 degs centigrade, B Factor 4400k
  
  Any help?

  Might be easier to look into having it rebuilt. Tiger Tom did mine and he installed modern internals and from the outside it hooks up, works and looks like original.

  Murata make NTC thermistors, but I could not find an exact equivalent at a quick look. Best I found was was 130ohm and 3500. Worth a look though.
