I am a new member of TEAE and have a ’66 Tiger which I purchased earlier this winter and am looking for help in diagnosing a problem. To wit, the car overheats which I know is not unusual for Tigers and is not a problem unless I am in stop and go traffic. What is a problem, however, is that once I turn the car off, it might be as long as an hour or two – even after it has cooled down – before it will re-fire. I’m not sure if it’s the coil or the fuel pump or the ignition wiring or something else, but I’d welcome any suggestions any TEAE members might have. Thanks for any help you can offer.

a more detailed description of the symptoms might help?
When it won’t start – does it crank? sputter?
What have you checked so far?
how “stock” is the car?
Good luck.
