Come join us at the Carolina British Classics-Tartan Day South British car show. We will have a weekend long Sunbeam Invasion in conjunction with this popular event. There is plenty for the whole family to see and do. This year’s date is two weeks later than last year so warmer weather for sure!

They have a block of rooms for us available for the nights of April 4, 5, and 6. That is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for $99 per night. Ask them for the British Car Club blocked rate. Call the hotel direct at 803-957-5000. If you have made reservations earlier at a higher price, they will change your rate to the special blocked room rate. PLEASE reserve your room as soon as possible as this special rate goes away on March 4th!! There are a limited number of rooms available and this is a weekend that most hotels in town will be full.
For those coming from out of town, we will have things going on all day Friday including a huge Sunbeam swap meet at the hotel. If you have never been to this Invasion before come and join us!

Schedule for the Invasion/SOS
Friday April 5th-Everything is centered around the host hotel. All day Sunbeam parts swap in the hospitality suite starting at 9 AM. Lunch will be served at noon. At 2 PM there will be a V-6 conversion and power steering tech session and a Sunbeam steering wheel restoration tech session. There will be local drives, Sunbeam talk in the parking lot, and then a drive to our favorite local BBQ for a pay as you go buffet around 6 PM.
Saturday March 24-8:45 AM -leave for the British car show. Registration and parking for the show is from 9 AM until 11 AM. Car show awards are at 3PM. The hotel hospitality suite will open after the car show ends. We will have a pay as you go dinner at 7 PM.

Reservations made, registration goes in the mail tomorrow, this time we’re coming in a Sunbeam!

We are hoping to finally drive a Sunbeam to this event with it being a few weeks later than last year. But we need about a foot of snow to melt and some rain to wash the salt off the roads before I’ll bring the Sunbeam out of the garage.

Hotel registration is made and registered for the show. It will be a long trek from Brossard, Quebec, but I will be trailering my SII Sunbeam, and we will stop to see friends along the route. Looking forward to meeting new friends during the weekend.
