  I am thinking about restoring a couple original hardtops for the Tigers and I am wondering if they were originally body color or black? On the Alpine board I was reading that possibly the hardtops came body color from the factory and were black if you bought them from the dealer?

  Either body color or black would be correct. You could order from the factory with the car either way, you could have a dealer repaint to match the body when purchasing, or you could buy a dealer stock hardtop in black since they came that way when separate from a car.
