        Hi All

Back at the United in August we received a presentation from Metal-Brite Polishing in Dayton. They told us about the metal work they do, particularly rechroming parts and passed around some samples of recent work.

Although I did not have anything rechromed, I did use their services to restore my wheel trim rings. I have an early Tiger with the basket-weave pattern rings. My trim rings were pretty gouged up and the anodized finish had dulled over time and did not respond to my attempts to polish them. Originals are getting almost impossible to find.

Metal-brite repaired all the damaged areas, stripped them and polished them. They are too flimsy to repair by welding so they used epoxy to repair the gouges and breaks in the metal. They then polished them up so they look almost like chrome.

Not cheap at $110 per ring…but they never looked better…and less than some new repros went for recently on ebay.

Just thought I would pass along the info from a satisfied customer. 😀

they’ve done a lot of work on various parts for the Harrington we’re building. they repaired and polished all the side mouldings for it. I’m dropping off the Harrington egg crate grill in the next couple weeks so they can polish it since it’s all aluminum. I have to agree that they do great work.
