  Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to run a Series V fuel pump on a Series 3 1592cc engine, and what if anything I should be careful of. Thanks. Tom

  the fuel pumps are the same for series 1 thru 5.

  Actually the fuel pump currently in use has a brass piston type priming valve which is leaking. The other pump I have utilizes a lever on the bottom of the fuel pump for priming. Otherwise I guess they’re the same. Thanks for your input.

  The pump on my SV, doesn’t have the priming lever.

  not sure when the change was made , but early cars did have the primer originally. i have found many aftermarket pumps over the years without the primer .either will work .
