  FYI, I have installed a GR Starter and it works very well. On a cold day my Alpine V would not start, but know with the GR Starter it fires right up. I have not seen any listings for Alpine so I called Kieth at Gustafson Specialty and he and I worked togehter to get the right gear travel for the Alpine. In the past I had tried the starter for Spitfire and Sprit, but there was a problem with the ringgear ingagement, so after some measurments the starter that works the best is the unit for a 4.2 liter Jag. You should be able to buy this starter for around $189.00, it is well worth the money! 😀
