  Hi All,
  
  The Expansion tank on my Tiger has sprung a leak at the overflow hose connection.
  
  I want to drive it to the Crab Feast (3 hrs one way) and have sealed it from the inside with hi temp and pressure silicone.
  
  First question is do you think it will hold.
  
  Second question is what is the permanent fix? It looks crimped and is the overflow tube under the cap.
  
  The thing that sucks is the tank is beautifully chromed.
  
  Any help would be appreciated.

  How did this work out?
  
  I don’t have an answer for you on the refit, as mine was brazed/soldered in place, and it’s flat black – didn’t want to do the chrome route in the engine bay.
