I guess you guys already found the answers, but yes alpines had aluminum heads and the rear axle hub is a pain with the method being to heat and beat. Most advanced and autozone have the puller to loan you, do not attempt removing the hub without a puller. Even with a puller and lots of heat sometimes the hub gets bent, but can be fixed. Always use anti seize when you reassemble them.
