It’s not unusual for the colors to fade. Remove the two through bolts/screws and carefully remove the base of the motor. The portion of the wires inside the case normally retain their original colors. The motor itself won’t come apart when you do this as long as you hold the other two pieces together with your hand since there’s nothing attached to the inside of the bottom cover. Or if the wires have a protective cover over them on the outside you can peal that back and see.
