2019 BASH Itinerary:  Day of BASH, May 18

Early-Bird Activity: Friday Evening, May 17

This is usually a one day event, but if you’re in town on Friday evening, we’ll be having Dutch treat dinner at

The Roadhouse Cafe
1031 Eisenhower Blvd. Harrisburg.  17111
This NOT a part of the Texas Roadhouse chain but cool car themed. We’re pretty sure you’ll like it!
It’s about 13 miles south of the BASH site.

If you sign up for dinner, PLEASE let us know if you change your mind.

Activities: Saturday, May 18

(all times approximate)
Morning:  Arrive, drink coffee, etc
Display our Beams for oohs & ahhs, questions & answers

This year we will be getting some grease under our fingernails with a full slate of tech sessions:
  • Diagnosis and repair of a 1592 iron head engine with extremely low oil pressure
  • A redux of Tiger Tom’s turn signal adjustment, with a demo bringing a maladjusted stalk back to life
  • A horn / horn circuit tune-up
  • (Tentatively) a powder coating demo

Noon: luncheon buffet
Joe Parlanti will be grilling chicken as you watch.
And there will be plenty of other food!
1:30 pm: Fourth annual Blue Mountain Run: A gimmick rally (with prizes!)

Staying over Saturday night after the BASH?

We stayed last year at the Lodge at Lykens Valley , ok, but 27 miles away.
With Carlisle that same weekend where domost TEAEr’s stay??
hanks, Robert Jaarsma

We’ve been staying in the “Grantville” area… sort of carried over from when TT had the BASH there, and a pretty easy ride.
Many places on the west side of Harrisburg are also pretty close, but some are kinda $$ steep. Hershey area is also not far.

For anyone who has not visited, the AACA Museum is phenomenal.
