  Hi all:
  
  In the tiny, largely vacant village of Java, South Dakota, there is an abandoned early series Alpine – complete with hardtop. I have not personally seen the car, but a good friend recently saw it and passed the info on to me. I don’t live anywhere near Java – it’s about 5 hours or so from me – but I will be traveling up close to there in about 6 weeks. I’ll try to get more information about the car and possible ownership.
  
  I bring it to your attention as several of you will be traveling to SUNI in June.
  
  oh yeah – this is not a St. Patty’s joke.
