Why don't I get notified when a response is posted?

ANSWER:
The automatic alert system is a notification feature that can be set in the forum. The current forum version has a basic feature for this.

This basic feature can be set in your profile that alerts you to an update of a topic you have written on. If you log into the forum, and then click USER CONTROL PANEL. That takes you to your personal preferences. The third tab is BOARD PREFERENCES, the select EDIT POSTING DEFAULT this can be set you to be alerted when responses come to a subject you've written on. Click YES to be notified automatically when a topic you have written on gets a response.
