Carbs for 69 Alpine GT

Postby Janius » Mon Dec 05, 2011 8:29 pm

I am looking for a set of good Stromberg 150CDSE carbs for a '69 Alpine GT.... anybody got any?? In worst case, I could get away with a set of pistons and springs.

I am restoring a '69 Alpine GT-the previous owner had replaced the CDSE's with a pair of CD's from an Alpine V, I want to go back to stock. I got a nice set of 150CDSE from Rick at Sunbeam Specialties, but they were missing the pistons, springs and needles. Soooo, I need a either a set of CDSE's or the components. I have just finished a complete brake rebuild (had the front calipers rebuilt... they are identical to MGB except for the location of the brake line), had a very hard time finding the right set of rear brake cylinders but eventually did (there must be a dozen different ones!!!), fortunately I had both a new master cylinder and a new booster.
