A suggestion for the Web Site

Postby Alpine1963 » Tue Oct 09, 2007 5:09 pm

Hello Board Members,

First of all I would like to thank each of you for a wonderful United we just finished. I do not get to attend a lot of these due to them being in October but I truely enjoyed this one.

As I sat in the meeting and heard us discuss things to make the club better I would like to make a suggestion. A lot of the members there knew each other and were just getting reaquainted. I only knew a couple of people there and thought that a members gallery would be a good idea to have to see the members and their cars together. I do this with my local British Car Club's site and the members love it. They not only can put a name to a face but also to their car. I would suggest the picture should include the person along with spouse standing by there car.

Having a way to contact the board is also very good!

Thanks again,

Todd Smith

I like the idea. Give us a chance to study pictures and names before we go : ) Where did you post them- on a web site or on a forum like this?

When we first started the web site we included a section for members pictures. We didn't receive many submissions. Donna has re-uploaded that page under Photo Gallery and Members Photos. Send me your pictures and they will be posted. Lets see if we get a better response this time.

Interesting. I didn't know it was there. I'll be sure to submit.

Hey Eric, Where did you find that link? I have searched the site and I only found pictures under the 2000 Bash Section under photos. Those are the type of pictures that would be helpful for all of us to remember each other and be able to place a car with a name.

My local club does not have a forum so we dedicated a page on the site to a members gallery.

If we send a picture to be placed in a members section, who do we send it to and in what size and format.

It would also be helpful to have room for name / email and optional address.

Thanks for the quick repsonses!

Cheers,

Todd

The members gallery was not active until yesterday. It had been taken down because of no interest. If you go to the gallery page you will find the information needed to submit a photo. We will resize the pictures to 216 X 84, but if you do it that's fine. Saves us a step.
