Please find attached the revised United XXVII Activity Schedule. There have been several changes so please discard earlier copies and read this copy carefully.
Please note that the General Membership meeting will be held 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Saturday. This is an important meeting and everyone should attend. This is YOUR club and the discussion in this meeting is of importance to all of us. We will have a special door prize drawing for a few lucky attendees of the meeting. The Hospitality Suite and Parts Room will be closed during the meeting.
Board of Directors - please note the time change and location of your meeting.
Saturday we will be dining at Crabby Joe's Deck & Grill on the Sun Glow Pier, not the Deck Down Under.
We will open the Hospitality Suite earlier than originally scheduled to accommodate those attending the early A.M. activities.
The Holiday Inn Tigers East/ Alpines East United room block expires 9/28/07. If you haven't registered for your room please do so at once to take advantage of our special room rates. We looked at many hotels/resorts when we made our selection and we're confident that the Holiday Inn Resort offers a great value to you and the quality of the staff and facilities are second to none in the area.
The resort has an on premise restaurant that opens at 7:00 a.m.that is open until 10:30 p.m. weekdays and til 11:00 p.m. weekends.
The schedule is tight for many activities so please be on time.
We made have made special arrangements with the Holiday Inn and Daytona USA for trailer parking. The TE/AE United staff will assist you.
For those folks that cannot attend the entire weekend we have created a special day rate. The day rate is $30.00 per adult plus any special event costs (if you plan to attend the Awards Banquet on Sunday evening please contact me so that I can advise you of the cost and plan a meal for you. Our meals must be ordered by Thursday October 4). Attendees will be issued name badges that must be worn for participation and admittance to the Hospitality Suite and Parts Room.
Regrettably the Crane Cam tour was limited to the first 50 registrants and registration for it is closed. Attached is a schedule for these tours. If your name is listed and you do not plan to take the tour please let me know as there are others who would like to take the tour but registered too late. It's a great tour and you'll be very impressed by the processes and quality that go into building a camshaft.
We look forward to seeing you in Daytona Beach!

Schedule changes /Crane tour changes- Tuesday Oct 2

Postby Curt Hoffman » Tue Oct 02, 2007 4:22 pm

We're getting down to the wire! Here are a few last minute updates to the United XXVII Activities:
Crane Cam Tour. We've had some cancellations so we've backfilled based upon earliest to latest registrations. So be sure to check the attached Crane Cam Tours list for your name.
Dinner time changed for Inlet Harbor from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening.
Ladies Cardmaking Craft Activity is scheduled for Saturday afternoon 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. To plan appropriately we need to get an idea how many folks will be attending this activity. During this activity each participant will make Christmas and Thank You cards. The cost is $20 per person with all supplies included. Please e-mail Pat Bullard and let her know that you will be attending at Pbullard@hotmail.com.
At the Concourse all of the ladies present will have a chance to vote for their top five favorite categories in the "Ladies Fun In the Sun Popular Choice" competition. Winners to be announced at the Awards Banquet on Sunday. These are some very "interesting" classes!
We're looking forward to seeing you all in Daytona!
