locator stud

Postby SVRon » Fri Feb 16, 2018 1:27 pm

Hi All, I'm rebuilding my 1725 Alpine engine w/Sunbeam Specialties NOS short block. I need to transfer the flywheel locator stud on end of crank to new engine. I've banged on it a bit, but didn't seem to move. What is the prefered method of removing this stud? Heat? penetrating oil? bang on it more?
Thanks
Ron
