Re: MKII oil cooler draining

Hello and welcome! Can you measure the length of the dip stick so another MK2 owner can compare? I am sure the oil cooler drains when you do an oil change as it is higher than the oil pan. Also when checking the oil level using the dip stick, a fair amount of oil is held in the oil filter if you are...

Re: Center Console mounting

No mounts are used-just a few small sheet metal screws. Is the console the original one that came with the car with the ashtray mounted to the front of it ? Not sure why the screw holes don't line up maybe the carpet is causing the height difference? Eric

Re: Order TE/AE regalia on line!

Hi Mark This company is based in North Carolina and did all the shirts and some embroidered items for the Dayton, Ohio United. I was pleased with the quality of all items and the price too. You can call them if you have problems on their website-and they have other items you can order not shown on t...

Wire wheels

Harrington Sebring 2016.JPG I have an Alpine with wire wheels and yes they all use tubes as well as a large "rubber band" that covers the ends of the spokes inside the rim so the tubes don't rub against them and get a leak. You can now buy new wire wheel rims that are sealed with a rubber...

Harrington LeMans 3000RW at Sebring

A friend was at Sebring last week for the vintage races and the one of a kind Harrington LeMans that won the Thermal Index award in 1961 at LeMans was there racing! I had heard that the new owner of this car lives in New England-wish I could have seen and heard it racing again. I last saw this Harri...

Re: Mk1 Build Date

Jimbo! Good to see you posting again. Steve I had a MK1 a long time ago that was built about 50 cars after yours and it also had square corner doors and hood and a round corner trunk lid. So the rest of the Tiger is Series 4 Alpine based with Series 5 square corner doors and hood. Somewhere in the B...

How about using it as the battery box cover on your Alpine? It would be one of a kind! That is a great Sunbeam item you have.

Re: Carb fire

So sorry to hear this Gilles and glad it was not worse! Do you run ethanol fuel in your Tiger? It boils off quicker than non ethanol fuel and also causes other problems. I have an battery kill switch on my car and use it when parked. Haggerty will fix you up with no problems-great insurance company!...

I read that Rick is feeling better-that is great news. He has always supported our Uniteds and regional events over the years and of course is the best supplier of the Sunbeam parts that we all need. Get well soon Rick!! Eric
