Re: This week in Rootes History - May 2005

Eric, This is wonderful to see what is happening in Iran, and the history of Paykan. That's why I still have gasket sets in packaging of Paykan.

Re: A bittersweet introduction

Hi Bill, Sorry to hear about Jon's passing. I met him a few times and we corresponded several times about some Humbers he used to have. I'm sure some members of TEAE or the club can come up with a proposal to get all of Jon's cars and parts to find good homes. Not knowing in how much of a hurry you ...

Brake Fluid changes

A Sunbeam had Dot 5(silicon) brake fluid, for unexplained reasons this was changed to Dot 4. I like to go back to Dot 5! Dot 5 worked well for me, also doesn't attack the paint if spilled or leaked. Question: can I blow out the Dot4 with air, and fill up with Dot 5, or do I need to do much more?? I ...

Re: Water Temp Gauge

Rod,
Good to read that you solved the problem on the Gazelle.
I didn't follow this dicussion earlier, but now have a question for Eric:
What is the excact difference between the Moss and SS voltage stabilizers? I have used the Moss one without a problem (at not yet a problem?).

A Member's Tiger Restoration

The February issue of Hemming's Sport & Exotic Cars magazine has an excellent article about the restoration done by our member Chris Perkins.
He has done incredible body work. Didn't get burned out and now is working on the next one.
Happy holidays to All,

Re: Tiger information vs Alpine

I do not have a source for you. But I know that the Mk1A and Series V have in common: the square doors, hood and trunklid, also the heating vents, Most other parts are also the shared with the series IV and except the tailfins with even the series III. The SV has the same stowage setup as the MkiA, ...
