Additional tool for your “info” tool box.

I just took over a Ford Small Block V8 forum. The forum has been active for over 10 years and has some really great info in the archives. The prior owner is having health issues and did not want to the board to disappear if anything suddenly happened to him. Please check it out - http://www.network5...

Re: Left Right Motor Mounts

You have two right mounts......and you can see that the two right mounts are not the same. You got these from AutoZone? Right mount number - 2221 http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Duralast-Motor-Mount/1966-Ford-Mustang/_/N-iyn03Z8ii2i?itemIdentifier=109587_195311_0_43023 The left mount is part ...

Re: Another land speed Sunbeam

Some questions -

Did you have any issue with the rear window of the hard top wanting to blow out?

Did you do anything special with the hood?

What tranny are you running and rear end gear?

Size of wheels and tires?

Wipers on or off?

Very impressive, I LIKE!

Re: 2bbl Motorcraft/Autolite

I would rebuild the carb in the best shape. Check for throttle shaft play and other wear areas. Rebuild the best one. Rebuilding a worn out carb will give you nothing but headaches when trying to dial it in.

Front main oil seal...install from front or back?

My front main oil seal is leaking. Looking at youtube videos on late model 302 timing cover installs. They drive the seal in from the front. My Sunbeam manual shows the seal driven in from the back. I installed mine from the back and it is leaking. Now if the seal is designed to be mounted from the ...

245-60-15 tires Hey Jerry, I have followed your car closely on the various forums you post on. Great car and fantastic results. I would be ecstatic to get my car in the 11's. Please post details on the wheels you are using and what you have done to get the 245 to clear. Would also like to know some...

High HP Tiger guys..............

How are you getting the HP to the ground?
How are you controlling the rear axle with the high HP?

I am open to just about anything that will not permanently change the car.

You know I would be asking these questions after putting the 347 in the car..... ;)

TIA!

Back Safe.

I just got back to my home about an hour ago. Two days 1627 miles and 28 hours on the road. I am very proud to say that the 3254 miles I covered to the show and back were without any mechanical issues what so ever. The mosquito at the show does not count. Its amazing that the 44 year old car did so ...

Half way there!

On the road at 4 AM this morning. Followed by 820 miles with 13.5 hours of driving. I am in Akron, OH and get two hours of TV before I hit the sack and get up at 3:30 AM to be on the road at 4 AM again. The Tiger ran perfect (knock on wood), overall got 18.5 MPG traveling between 65-74 MPH. Three le...
