Re: Conversion of carburstir gron cd150 to weber

If you can find a S4 solex intake it will bolt on and you can use the two BBrl Weber carb in its place this combination works very well.

A good way to see if it has is to look at the upper fulcrum pins if the back end nut is real close or up against the fender well it has not been repaired and will have to be pulled, over the years ...

Re: Tranny and Rear End Gear Lube

I use a straight 70w/90 gear oil with Kindle LSD additive has worked great for many years, a note its also good for AT's as a friction modifier. 8)

Re: Head and tranny removal

Remove the linkage, drive shaft and any other attachments, unbolt the trans, then you twist ether left or right I can not remember and down it will come out but will take some time. I did this about 15 years ago Stock MKI Tiger. Good luck 8)

Re: Oil For Transmission

30W is good, I have gone to a synthetic oil in this weight it works great but the seals on the trans. need to be good to hold it in. 8)

Re: Evans Waterless Coolant

compare the spec sheets for evans and any of the conventional coolants and you will find there is very little difference. same freeze points, same boil points. you also need to use their purge product to clean the system but they don't say anything about having to change all hoses if there has been...

Re: Evans Waterless Coolant

It helps, maybe 5 degrees but I would do the other things to help cooling most important is air flow and a good radiator.

Re: Evans Waterless Coolant

I used this on my Tiger but the bad thing is it is really for a new built engine, IE no water in the system to start with , it seems to not like you to have water present. 8)
