SUBJECT: Zenith-Stromberg CD & CDS Carbs: Change Of Float Material

A modification has been introduced on the subject carburetors, changing the float assembly material from compressed rubber to nylon.

With this change of float material, some float settings have been altered and in some instances the needle valve washer has been changed in order to maintain the correct fuel level.

Even though it is not recommended that the original float be changed, it is possible, but the float setting and needle valve washer, where appropriate, must be changed as per instructions:

RUBBER FLOAT: – Needle Valve Washer Part No. – Float Setting

ARROW – 5057814 – 15.5

NYLON FLOAT:

ALPINE – 9077071 – 17.0

ARROW – 9077071 – 15.5
